How Long is Brow Lift Recovery?
Aging can cause the breakdown of collagen fibers that support your facial features. Drooping eyebrows and a creased or sagging forehead can make you look tired and even obstruct your vision. A brow lift restores your brows to their natural, expressive position. Combine it with a forehead lift to rejuvenate your entire upper face.
What is a Brow or Forehead Lift?
If you have concerns about forehead skin laxity or brows that make your eyes look hooded, you may be a good candidate for a brow lift, a forehead lift, or both. A brow lift corrects sagging brows and makes your eyes look brighter and more alert. A forehead lift tightens loose skin to eliminate wrinkles and ridges for a smooth, youthful look.

How Does a Brow Lift Work?
Dr. Sonneveld usually performs brow lifts with local anesthesia and sedation, although he may use general anesthesia. A traditional brow lift procedure uses an incision from the top of one ear to the top of the other ear. Surgeons often perform endoscopic brow or forehead lifts that use much smaller incisions. An endoscopic procedure results in less recovery time and minimal scarring.
How Long is Brow Lift Recovery?
The length of your recovery depends on several factors, including the type of brow lift and your body’s natural healing process. Bruising and swelling may occur after the procedure and will fade within a few weeks. Ice packs will reduce your swelling and ease any discomfort. Dr. Sonneveld and his team will see you for follow-up visits and will usually remove sutures after a week.
Most people can return to their usual activities within one to two weeks. You can start wearing eye makeup after one week. Residual swelling can take a few months to disappear completely. Your team will discuss when you can return to work and resume strenuous exercise.

How Long Does a Brow Lift Last?
A brow lift is a long-lasting procedure, but you will eventually start to see signs of aging. Most people are satisfied with their brow and forehead lift results for ten to fifteen years. Each person’s skin ages differently, so results will vary.
You can prolong the results of your brow and forehead lift by avoiding sun exposure and using quality sun protection. You can also use medical-grade skincare products that support collagen development. Forehead or brow wrinkles when you frown or move your forehead can be treated with Botox®.
Am I a Good Candidate for a Brow or Forehead Lift?
You may be a good candidate for a brow lift if you want to correct drooping brows. Your surgeon may also recommend a forehead lift if you have sagging and wrinkles in this area. Ideal candidates are in good health and have reasonable expectations. Only a consultation can determine whether a brow lift is recommended for you.
