How Much Does a Brow Lift Cost?

The muscles that control the brows and forehead work hard to form our many facial expressions. Over time, the skin and underlying structures can lose elasticity and begin to sag. A brow lift raises the brows to a more youthful position. If your sagging brows make you look tired or even angry, a brow lift can restore an alert, bright-eyed appearance.

What is a Brow Lift?

If you have excess brow skin that droops over your eyes, a brow lift is the most effective way to correct it. This sagging skin can even become severe enough to start obstructing your vision. A brow lift can brighten the eye area and eliminate a tired, “hooded” appearance. Dr. Sonneveld often combines a brow lift with a forehead lift to smooth lines and wrinkles across the forehead and between the brows.

How Does a Brow Lift Work?

A brow lift can be performed in two ways depending on your needs. A typical brow lift uses incisions hidden in the hairline. More advanced techniques use endoscopy, inserting a tiny camera and specialized tools through small incisions. This allows the surgeon to lift the brow and forehead areas while minimizing recovery time. Excellent surgical techniques result in a youthful, natural appearance.

How Much Does a Brow Lift Cost?

If you want an accurate estimate for the cost of your brow lift, we recommend scheduling a consultation to discuss your needs and treatment plan. The average brow lift may cost about $3900. This will vary widely based on your location and provider. Adding a forehead lift or other procedure will add to the price. The average cost does not include anesthesia, medications, or other fees and expenses.

If your sagging brows have started to obscure your vision, your insurance company may cover your brow lift as a necessary procedure. We recommend making contact with your insurance company to learn more about your coverage. Insurance does not cover a brow lift performed for aesthetic reasons.

What is Recovery Like After a Brow Lift?

You can expect some swelling after the procedure, but cold compresses will help control it. Your sutures usually come out after a week. Most people can return to work and other light activities within a week or two. Residual swelling could last up to a few months before you see your final results.

Am I a Good Candidate for a Brow Lift?

People with sagging, tired-looking brows make good candidates for a brow lift. Ideal candidates have no significant health issues and reasonable expectations. Typical brow lift candidates are in their 40s to 60s, but only your surgeon can decide if a brow lift will give you the results you want.
