Meet Dr Keith Sonneveld Fort Worth & Arlington

Keith Sonneveld, DDS

Dr. Keith Sonneveld was born into a medical family. His mother was an obstetrical nurse educator, and his father was an orthodontist. He spent countless hours in his father’s office, so the thought of dentistry was always in his mind.

He graduated from St. Xavier University in Chicago and began dental school at Marquette University, earning his doctorate in 2014. For several months before moving to Milwaukee, he worked at the office of Robert Bosack, a well-respected Oral and Maxillofacial surgeon (OMS). This is where his passion for the field began.

Following graduation, Dr. Sonneveld’s specialty training began right here in Fort Worth at John Peter Smith Hospital, in conjunction with the powerhouse OMS training program at UT Southwestern/Parkland. This rigorous internship gave Dr. Sonneveld an incredible base of knowledge that allowed him to flourish during his residency. His training at Broward Health Medical Center/Nova Southeastern University furthered the wide-scope experience he gained here at JPS. He was awarded a specialty certificate in OMS in 2019 and was chosen as chief resident during his final year.

Following residency, Dr. Sonneveld was blessed to be the 2019-2020 participant in the exclusive fellowship program at Georgia Oral & Facial Surgery, under the direction of world-renowned surgeon Dr. Shahrokh Bagheri. The American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery accredits the program. There he gained exceptional training in facial cosmetic surgery and had the opportunity to learn from surgeons of other specialties, including plastic surgeons, ENT surgeons, and oculoplastic surgeons. During the fellowship, Dr. Sonneveld also gained unmatched experience in the field of nerve injury treatment.

He met his wife, Rebecca, during his year living in Fort Worth before residency. Rebecca grew up in the area, and her family continues to live here.

While the couple moved to Florida and Georgia for training, they always planned to return to Fort Worth to plant their roots and grow their family. Together they have three young children: Jack, Thomas, and Grace.

Dr. Sonneveld’s mission is to provide the highest quality of care with the compassion every patient deserves. He performs a broad scope of procedures, but his particular interests include facial cosmetic surgery, nerve injury repair, orthognathic jaw reconstruction, tooth extractions, dental implants, and bone grafting. FACES Fort Worth will continue to evolve and provide the most cutting-edge and contemporary treatment tailored to every patient’s needs.
